Mike Creel wasn’t exactly born with a silver spoon, but he certainly didn’t grow up working as the mule on a farm (that's just a little humor because his father grew up on a rural farm in Mississippi and was kind of worked like a mule). Mike had about every opportunity one could experience in this part of the country. He grew up with 2 parents, 2 sisters, and a dog all under one roof, and they attended church every week from the time he was born. Mike was taught the value of hard work from an early age, and he has the utmost appreciation and respect for the job his parents did. In fact, Mike and his father, Jim Creel have worked together for years, and they are still best friends. A slogan that Mike adopted from Jim over the years is: “If it’s going to be, it’s up to me.” The determination, the attitude, and the work ethic that must accompany the slogan have been ingrained in Mike since early childhood. The Creels moved from Greenville, MS in 1986, and Mike graduated from River Oaks School in 1992. In 1996, Mike graduated from Northeast Louisiana University, now known as University of Louisiana at Monroe, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. During college, he met Rachel, the love of his life and married her in 1997.  In 1998, Mike graduated from LSU with an MBA, with an emphasis in Real Estate and Finance.  Surprisingly, Mike was a rather uninspired student during most of high school and college, but he really enjoyed classes that revolved around business, accounting, finance, real estate, and management. In 2014, with the help of Low+Tritt advertising agency, Mike began LouisianaRENTS.com because it’s all about marketing, whether its family property or property managed for other investors. The name describes where, what, and how; Where - most of the properties are located in Louisiana, What – property rentals including apartments, condos, retail space, and commercial office space, and How - most of our advertising is online so the .com seemed appropriate. While working toward satisfying their original goal of filling office space with suitable tenants, Mike and Jim spend much of their time meeting, discussing, and serving the needs of others, which has evolved into Business Consulting for real estate investors and other small businesses. Today, their business goal is quite simple; they want to grow their business by helping others develop better businesses with higher revenues, extended leases, and multi-faceted relationships. (a philosophy borrowed from Zig Ziglar). They focus on 3 main parts: 1.            Meet the needs of property owners by finding great tenants, 2.            Meet the needs of business owners by finding great commercial office space or retail                 space 3.            Meet the needs of small businesses and commercial tenants by helping them meet                  their challenges  In working toward our ultimate goal of bringing glory to God, Mike Creel and Jim Creel use the gifts and experiences that God entrusted to them (Matthew 25:14) to serve others (1 Peter 4:10) by investing their time & energy developing the businesses of others while sharing the Gospel of Jesus.   Mike and Jim have bought and sold many businesses over the years, and they have learned to wear many hats in a day’s time. As self-employed / family-employed business owners, they are each other’s safety net and cheerleader.
